I had a LOT of woodchucks in my gardens this summer. I tried to reason with them - eat the clover in the lawn; leave my flowers and vegetables alone! They didn't seem to get the hint. Fortunately (or unfortunately for them), nature seems to even things out. We also had visits from coyotes and foxes so now our rabbit and woodchuck population has decreased. This is a colored pencil sketch I did to illustrate what I remembered of the naughty little woodchuck who still have one of my flowers in his mouth. He was cute, though.

I found your blog. I bombed pocket gophers that were eating my hosta roots. Buy it in a hardware store, find the hole and light it, cover the whole QUICKLY and RUN before the chemical kills you. It worked and didn't kill me, but you can't be slow. Nice drawing.
